Staircase Motivation
Marlowe Stairs

We are spiraling out of control over this staircase at our Marlowe Residence. The sconces and paneled walls of the circular stair rotunda were precisely planned to align with the cascading windows. An inlaid French limestone compass-rose is the center-point of the rotunda floor and is set to true North to the delight of the client, who is an avid sailor. To complete the two-story space, the rotunda is crowned with a domed ceiling and cupola, washing the interior with daylight.
